I believe a rule change for next season is long overdue for the below:
b) Players making $2.5 million or more OR with an OV of 70 or more must start the Regular Season on the Pro Roster;
c) Players making $3.0 million or more OR with an OV of 72 or more cannot be sent to farm;
when the league was created these rules were clearly transferred from CDNHL/SHL rules. Both of those leagues run at a cap that is approx half of the GVFHL cap. So because of that factor I believe the above amounts should probably be doubled as well. At the very least increased significantly.

Re: waiver rules
These are the waiver criteria from SHL and unless I'm missing something, I really don't see more correlation (or reason to make a change):
a) In the SHL, any team can claim players from the farm who fit the following
criteria:
a. Players 25 years of age or older (rookies excluded)
b. Any skater (F or D) who has played more than 160 career SHL regular
season games (regardless of age)
c. Any goalie who has played more than 80 career SHL regular season
games (regardless of age)
