Proposal on UFA resign

Creating my thread to "complain" or make suggestions.

Instead of completely getting rid of the (ufa resign, cant remember the exact name) lets simply limit how many each team can buy. I believe in the past it was unlimited. Maybe we just limit to two as an example. I think last year I used 4.

In my opinion this makes UFA and Re signing a lot more realistic. In reality a team is not losing 10 players in the real NHL to free agenzy. They are going to sign a good chunk of those players, depending on circumstances of cap and pay raises.

I dislike the idea of making this change and making free agentzy so unrealistic. For example in the CDNHL each year there are about 15-25 players who are free agents who are legit superstars. In the NHL this simply just wouldnt happen.

We are almost punishing GMs for building strong teams. Lets use the real life Tampa team, look how they have been able to keep their team together over the last three years. Not only in a cap era, but a flat cap at that. Now imagine if they werent allowed to sign any of their UFA's.

Just my thoughts, sorry just my complaint.

I hate the resigns personally and it killed the ufa market. Good riddance. Also allowing resigns to be traded was a super unrealistic thing imo.

As a compromise maybe allow teams to loyalty every 2 years instead of 3?

You are still only resigning one guy, every two years lol.

Another idea- is to allow pending free agents to be traded to teams who own a loyalty. This controls crazy ufa offers, creates trade excitement, and allows rebuilding teams to transition easier and quicker.

My suggestion was 2 resigns a year, that doesn’t fix issues, does it?
