The sheer amount of times I've tried to process these and broke the sim has frustrated me to no end. Simply cannot have all these buyout/retention players without dressing them

Just combine them to 1 or 2 (depending on the buyout duration) that at least in part should help.

Also since we are no longer using the daily cap calculation you could just list teams with a cap penalty for the year. The only reason I added the fake players for retention and buy out was to have an accurate cap calculation in the old system. Just make an overview for all teams, every team start with a salary cap of 82.5m and for every buyout/retention it will be decreased accordingly.
