A lot of stress was relieved Tuesday night as the Habs battled back from being down 3-2 in the eastern semi's to beat the Ottawa Senators 1-0 in a decisive game 7.

"Not gonna lie I was nervous all night, as obviously everyone involved with the game likely was", said GM MacPherson. "In the end our group pulled together and beat a high end squad". The series was extremely tight as the Habs scored 16 goals in this series while the Senators had 15. Despite the Habs forwards not being overly prolific so far in the playoffs, Barrie has stepped up to plate and has been by far their best player.

The Habs really wanted to get revenge against the Lightning, who beat them two years in a row as they won the cup both times, however the Habs will have to settle for team who beat the Lightning. The Red Wings have been a major underdog so far, beating out the repeating champs and the top seed in the east. The Habs feel they have the better squad but will not underestimate them. The key will be to get the forwards going if the Habs want any shot at making the finals for the 2nd time in franchise history.
