The GVFHL Will Be Contracting Two Teams

Post by Juliet-Pens »

As it stands we have a few too many vacant teams, so I talked with EC and we will be contracting Minnesota and Columbus. Detroit will be moving out east to balance the conferences. As such, we will be having a dispersal draft to redistribute these franchise's assets across the league. The rules for the draft will be:

2 rounds to draft, both teams assets thrown into one big draft pool to choose from.
Snake draft, meaning if you picked 1st overall in round 1, you'd be picking last in round 2.
Full league lotto to determine order. I'll have this done this weekend.
The EC will select for any remaining vacant teams in the draft.

The contraction draft will start Monday July 11th. Any questions feel free to ask.

This could be difficult with the cap staying the same, no?

What will happen with both teams prospects? Will they be eligible for drafting? And what about draft picks belonging to other teams that they own? Are they considered to be assets that can be chosen? Or does assets mean just rated players?

Assets include all picks (including those from other teams) and prospects.

However, picks that have been traded to other teams, will remain with the teams they’ve been traded to.

Are contraction picks tradeable?
