Reporter- "GM Muise, how does it feel to be a stanley cup champion?

muise- there are no words. Every person in this organization excelled this year and thats what it takes to win championships. We were all paddling in the same direction all season. Thats why getting the right people on the bus is so important.

Reporter- you had the best season in NHL history what does that mean to you, and the team?

Muise- Honestly we used the the regular season as a tune up for the playoffs, making tweaks right up until the deadline, looking for the right line combinations. We only had one number in mind and that was 16. We knew we had the best team on paper during the regular season but for us it was all about getting to 16 W.

Reporter- you made a lot of deals what one had the most impact?

Muise- honestly i cant say one was more important than any other. I mean getting guys like crosby, bergy, hedman, our two goalies were huge for us. If you go down that roster it is scary deep and each player was so important.

I had so many offers for Mike Smith throughout the whole season, but we wanted to keep him incase we ever had a goalie issue, and go figure with 10 min left of game 6 Varly went down and smith had to come in and we eventually won in OT. Thats just an example of why none was bigger than others, it was a full team effort by a very good team.

Reporter- Any moves you regret?

Muise- For the rest of my life when I go to pump gas I will be wearing a stanley cup ring, so no. However I really hated moving Kyle connor. He has been a fan favourite for years and someone we targted in his draft year. He was someone I wanted to drink out of the cup with, but getting Stone was massive for us espcially in the playoffs.

Reporter- whats next for this team?

Muise- we have a lot of work for sure, we know that. However we are looking to remain competitive. You need to try and defend your championship.
